Introduction

Telford Steam Railway Peckett no. 2142 with train on Horsehay bank Located on the western side of the historic industrial area of Telford in Shropshire, close to the Ironbridge Gorge, the Telford Steam Railway is a preserved railway operated by a small and friendly team of volunteers on Sundays and Bank Holidays from Easter to the end of September, and at Christmas.

Unfortunately our standard gauge steam engine Rocket is currently receiving its ten year overhaul and all standard gauge services are currently being operated by diesel traction. However, our narrow gauge steam tram will operate as normal.
