This Sunday 22nd July we welcome some local musicians to the railway for our Train Tracks Music Day
Headlining the day are local lads Savannah, so local in fact they can hear the trains from their rehearsal room!
Ear to the Ground Music said – “What would happen if you took a Led Zeppelin blues rocks sensibility and combined it with a 90s grunge element and early 21st century lyricism, you would get Savannah. “ March 2018
Savannah can be found on Spotify
Geoff Rodgers will be playing around the site and in the Marquee at lunchtime.
Geoff lives in Shropshire. He has made quite a name for himself as a singer, performer and songwriter on the folk club, local pub and festival circuit. Formerly part of the very popular duo, “Bit on the Side”, who made one CD, “Running through the heart” featuring 6 of Geoff’s own songs, he is now mostly performing solo.
Geoff’s own songs have proved particularly popular with many audiences around the country and he has had considerable success in songwriting competitions. He was runner up at the Poynton Folk Festival and has twice been a semi finalist in the UK Songwriting Competition.
