At the Telford Steam Railway we are busy making our attraction accessible for all. We are currently working on renovating a new coach which will allow us to provide wheelchair users easy access to ride on our services. We are hopeful of having this ready to enter service in time for our 2020 running season. Unfortunately our current fleet of heritage coaches do not have any wheelchair access due to the way they were constructed over 45yrs ago.
Our main station at Spring Village, the Ticket Office & Gift Shop are all easily accessible by wheelchair.
An ‘Easy Access’ toilet is located by the tram in the yard behind the engine shed.
Access to Horsehay & Dawley station is down a very steep, paved, ramp from road level. Access to Railway House which includes the Model Railway and Furnaces Tearoom are at road level. There is also a limited number of spaces for disabled parking alongside the tearoom. However these are situated only a very short distance (200 yards) from the main car park.
