Sunday 23rd November saw a works team of TSR members assemble at Lawley to continue progressing the required works to enable us to run to Lawley from next Easter. A better than expected turnout enabled the railway to level, jack and pack 70ft of track from the bufferstop to the tunnel mouth. The only thing stopping us achieving more was the fact that we ran out of ballast. We also managed to unload most of the concrete sleepers that will be used in the construction of the temporary platform. The train returned to the yard for reloading with more sleepers and more ballast has been ordered ready for the next working weekend. Fundraising continues apace and as always the more we can raise the more we can achieve.
