Issue 2 – The Diary of a Volunteer

Another busy day at Telford Steam Railway. Here are some of the highlights of the work our volunteers have carried out. 

Carried out Track walk / inspection

Some scrap metal has been sorted and moved. 

Prepared some more wood and stacked it ready for use by the Tram

Ongoing work to the Class 37

Volunteer Marian J has cleaned the two TSO's that were in use at our sucessful weekend Anything Goes Diesel Event.

Maintenance and Restoration to the door windows of the coaches.

Volunteers John M and Miles C have both been busy sorting items for our THE POLAR EXPRESS Train Ride event this Christmas. 


We have continued our work on the paviers at the area near the loco shed as shown above. 

We also carried out a shunt to get the stock and locos sorted and the remaining few items required to be moved will be tackled on Thursday.

Volunteer Paul S has had some plants delievered ready to be placed around the site.

A new vounteer will be joining us soon, which is great news. If you are interested have a look below.

Finally Elf Bob B and Elf Sue B, head Elfs of Reindeer Care, have both fed the Reindeer and any whom are sick are being cared for.
