For our 2016 Event see here: Fathers Day Flyer 2016
Every year thousands of families across the world show their love and appreciation for their Father, Dad or Old Man by celebrating Father’s Day. This year on Sunday 21st June we at the Telford Steam Railway invite you to come along and enjoy our hospitality by having an extra special family day out with a difference to show just how much your Dad means to you. We are offering a bespoke package for a family of four to enjoy a day together which includes a memorable trip, for Dad, on the footplate of our resident steam locomotive ‘Rocket’ where the crew will demonstrate the finer points of locomotive driving. The Father’s Day package also allows unlimited travel on our standard gauge service for all the family, unlimited travel on our steam tram, admission to the model railway exhibition and a two course meal served in our very own Furnaces Tearoom. The cost of the package is an attractive £75 for a family of four and we also offer flexible packages if you want to get Grandad involved or if you wish to bring a larger party with you. In particular a special menu is available for the day for those families taking advantage of our Father’s Day Flyer package. There are only a limited number of footplate rides available and as such travel on the footplate is restricted to one journey between Spring Village to Horsehay or from Horsehay to Spring Village. As demand is expected to be high all available departures are sold strictly on a first come first served basis. In anticipation of this we are scheduling additional departures at 1630 and 1700 hrs. Please see below for the list of scheduled departures Bookings cannot be made through the website but by emailing our Commercial Director at this address email@example.com So treat your Dad or Grandad to an extra special day and share in the fun too.
