The admission prices includes access to all attractions and exhibits, and except on special event days allows you to ride as often as you like. (Miniature Railway not included)

23rd, 24th March Easter Bunny

Easter egg free for every child travelling on the train and a free hot cross bun for every adult travelling. The Easter Bunny will be in attendance.

4th, 5th May Steam Gala

Following the tremendous success of steam galas in previous years, Telford Steam Railway is again holding a Steam Enthusiasts gala on May 4th and 5th starring our own 5619.

Services offered (see the timetable for details) include:-

• 5619 with MK1s
• 5619 with demo goods train
• 5619 and Rocket double head MK1 passenger service
• RB004 in service for first train
• '08' D3429 with passenger service
• '08' D3429 with engineers train

25th, 26th May Murder Mystery

The victim dies a horrible death - but who killed him?

Visitors will turn detectives for the day in order to solve the murder mystery. You will be able to determine the murderer from watching small plays and gathering clues around the railway. You will need to travel on the trains and keep you eyes open!

Remember your ticket allows you to ride the train as often as you like.

20th July Model Gala

The Model Gala is becoming one of our established events and well worth a visit. Expect to see displays of Triang Trains + Minic Motorway, Berliner Bahn and Playcraft Trains, Cars by Matchbox, including the Motorway sets, Corgi and Lledo, various commercial models, fairground model, Dolls house, Egg Cups and Badge collections.

The resident model railways will be on show and the Phoenix Engineering Society present a massive display of model engineering. A vintage bus shuttles to the nearby Narrow Gauge Railway exhibition at the Park Hotel (ex Moat House) at Telford Town Centre will be operated by Telford Bus Group. A small number of traders selling used model trains, DVDs, tin toys and collectables will be present.

24th, 25th August Teddy Bear's Picnic

Our annual outing for all those Teddy Bears, our bears will be having their picnic by the railway and you can view them from the train before visiting the Tea Room or our picnic area to eat your meal. Sweets will be given to Children bringing their own Teddy.

Standard Gauge Railway

More than 30 years have elapsed since steam vanished from the main lines of Britain, but at Telford Steam Railway the Golden Age of rail travel lives on. Steam tank engines and historic diesels engines work their way from Spring Village Station to Horsehay & Dawley station, a distance of just under a mile, taking their passengers on a train ride through history.

Mind the Trams !

Come back in time to the days when steam trams ran on our streets. Board our unique narrow gauge steam tram at Pool Street or Simpson Street tram stops for the short ride alongside Horsehay Pool and Picnic area.

Miniature Railway

Marvel at the miniature locos built by the Phoenix Model Engineering Society as they take their passengers on rides on the Horsehay Miniature Railway.

Model Railway

For those who like even smaller engines, visit our '00' Gauge model Railway which has now been extended to over 320 sq.ft. Adults and children alike will be entranced by the many trains rolling by.

Christmas Events

From Friday December 5th to Sunday December 21st 2008 (Weekends only).

Advanced booking (by post only before October) is advisable as we get very busy over the Christmas Season.

Site Tours

For pre-booked parties we can arrange guided tours of the site and a trip up the line on Summer evenings (subject to staff availability).

Children's Parties

Why not treat you child to a party at Telford Steam Railway?
Parties include :

• Return train journey. This will be on the service train, check the timetable to see if it will be Steam or Diesel.
• A visit to the Model Railway.
• A ride on the steam tram.
• Party food, excluding birthday cake (feel free to bring your own).
• Party in the Furnaces Tea Room.
• FREE use of the site for your party.

During the main season (Easter to September) we can offer children's parties on Sundays priced at £6.50 per child inc travel on service train and food, minimum 8 children.

Adults (travel only) - one free per three children, otherwise £3. We can cater adults by arrangement, or normal cafe service is available.

No parties November - Easter. Ring for availability/bookings etc.
